6-part certificate course

Tailored for Shluchim seeking to enhance their understanding of mental health, The Shluchim Toolbox is a certificate program that offers a comprehensive exploration of common challenges and mental health issues that arise within our communities, families, and among our peers. This course will equip you with the tools needed to be a strong support, learn to foster resilience and give you the ability to embrace a more impactful, empathetic leadership role.

There are 6 modules and approximately 3-4 hours of work per module. Participants are given one week to complete each module, ensuring ample time and flexibility to fit this into their busy schedules.

Modules include reading, watching videos, listening to “Voices from the Field”, reviewing content, and reflecting on what was learned by participating in live course discussions. After each module, a live group session will be held virtually with a facilitator. These sessions will provide an opportunity to deepen understanding, ask questions, and connect with fellow participants who can continue to be strong support after the course is completed.

Modules Include

  • What is Mentorship?

  • Understanding Addictions

  • Understanding Trauma

  • Understanding Family & Marital Dynamics

  • Understanding Loss & Bereavement

  • Building Resilience

Format

  • Fully online

  • 6 week course

  • Move through the modules week-by-week together with fellow learners

  • Within each module, work on your schedule and at your own pace

  • Ongoing interaction with fellow learners

  • Further insight provided by mental health professionals (each an expert in their field) through a mix of pre-recorded and live presentations.

What Will You Gain?

Although many of these topics may be familiar to you, this certification course will level up your abilities to not only understand these mental health issues but to be able to implement practical, impactful solutions within your sphere of influence. With content aligned with Torah and Chassidus, and networking with mental health experts who lead Torah-aligned lives, this course will help bridge the gap between modern psychology and Jewish wisdom.

ATTENTION: The November/December course is coordinated to work for most time zone. Please check your time zone as it relates to this one to ensure participation is possible for the live sessions (please take into account that the clocks change in late October/early November in different countries).

The camaraderie built with fellow cohort members in this course creates a supportive network you can rely on and learn from, both during and after the course.

MRS. CHANALE REUBINFELD

I expected to walk away with more insight and tools, to be able to share and use with people in my community. But I also gained tools, insight and support for myself as well! It was great to hear from everyone else and realize that we all have similar situations, either within our communities or ourselves.

Continuing to learn is critical. It is amazing to have the opportunity, in your own circle, with people who get it!
